Ask if any one has any ideas about how this object can be used to show motion. ![]() Tug-of-war is a physical demonstration of balanced and unbalanced forces. This reinforcement of the basic concepts of force and motion provides struggling students with additional opportunities to make sense of the experiences they had in the first two lessons. In this lesson, the students work with a non-ball example (tug-of-war) to continue to explore the cause and effect of balanced and unbalanced forces on an object in addition to the strength and direction of the force.
